Lee
Pinkerson is a songwriter and singer of bluegrass, country
folk, native American, and gospel songs. Following the genre
of the late Harry Chapin, Lee's songs tell stories about
life, history and our cultural heritage.
Lee lives in
the blue ridge mountains, entertaining for friends at
festivals. She does a musical interpretation of native
American history; a storytelling string of songs emphasizing
environmental, family and peace issues.
I met Lee as
she sang at the Highland Hammocks State Park Earth Festival
in Sebring, Florida. She brought back memories of the 60's
when our country had many singer such as Bob Dylan and Janis
Joplin who were traveling minstrels, singing at open air
concerts.
